Yarn Expo Shenzhen 2024 concludes, ‘fostering connections and driving business opportunities’ between traditional sourcing seasons

Shenzhen, 21 Jun 2024. Yarn Expo Shenzhen drew its curtains on 7 June 2024, marking the close of South China’s first summer sourcing platform this year. Held concurrently with Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and PH Value, the three-day fair welcomed nearly 20,000 visits from 45 countries and regions. Spanning 1,600 sqm of exhibition space at Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian), the fair showcased over 70 exhibitors across seven prominent zones, including Fancy Yarn, Cashmere Yarn, Wool Yarn, Linen Yarn, Cotton Yarn, Chemical Fibre, and Overseas Yarn. Across the booths and nearly 20 fringe events, innovation and sustainability were strong points of discussion.

Intertextile Shenzhen & Yarn Expo Shenzhen: fringe events to aid apparel innovation and sustainability initiatives

Shenzhen, 31 May 2024. Across the 60,000 sqm floorspace in Halls 1, 2, and 9 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian), nearly 1,000 exhibitors from across the fashion spectrum will be showcasing a blend of on-trend products from 5 – 7 June. In between traditional sourcing seasons, buyers of both Spring / Summer 2025 and Autumn / Winter 2025 yarns and fibres, fabrics, and garments are expected, with both Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen hotbeds for innovative, sustainable industry-related products and services. These themes will be magnified by both shows’ fringe programmes, set to facilitate some of the leading players in the textile sector.

New dates and venue announced for next edition of Yarn Expo Shenzhen

Shenzhen, 4 January 2024. Soon after closing doors on their most recent success, the organisers of Yarn Expo Shenzhen have announced this year’s show will take place from 5 – 7 June 2024 at Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Center. Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, highlighted the modified event’s ongoing importance: “To harness the power of positive momentum off the back of our previous business-friendly fair, bringing the next edition forward to encourage mid-summer sourcing was appealing to a majority of our exhibitors. Meanwhile, the venue has been chosen to further leverage the city’s advantage as a key access point to the global yarn and fibre market, and attract more international and domestic visitors.”

Recently concluded Yarn Expo Shenzhen lays out roadmap for upcoming industry development

Shenzhen, 22 November 2023. After a successful three days of business from 6 – 8 November 2023, the fair concluded on a fruitful note at Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. Combined with the concurrently-held Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, DPARK (Fashion Design), and PH Value, Yarn Expo Shenzhen received over 22,000 visits from over 60 countries and regions. Across 10,000 sqm of exhibition space, the fair hosted 77 exhibitors from four countries and regions. Throughout its booths and fringe events, the well-known yarn and fibre platform demonstrated the latest industry trends, particularly the pursuit of green and innovative products, as well as evolving export opportunities for international businesses targeting South China, and vice versa.

Next week’s Yarn Expo Shenzhen to grow sustainable and technical potential

Shenzhen, 3 November 2023. Following China’s return to in-person business, this year marks the rejuvenation of the global yarn and fibre industry. Building on the momentum of Yarn Expo's business-friendly spring and autumn editions in Shanghai, Yarn Expo Shenzhen will be held from 6 – 8 November 2023, in Hall 9 at Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. Taking up 10,000 sqm of exhibition space, the fair will bring together nearly 100 exhibitors from four countries and regions, with a strong focus on eco-friendly and innovational yarn and fibre products.

Intertextile Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen postponed to 2023

In support of pandemic control measures in Shenzhen, which has recently seen an uptick in Covid-19 cases, the two fairs have been deferred to 2023. The fairs were originally due to take place concurrently from 2 – 4 November 2022 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center.

The 2021 editions of Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and Yarn Expo Shenzhen will now take place from 8 – 10 December instead of their original early-November date. The fairs will remain at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center alongside CHIC and PH Value.

Yarn Expo caters to industry’s year-round demands with show dates for Shanghai Autumn Edition and Shenzhen fair revealed

Following the Spring Edition of Yarn Expo which was held from 17 – 19 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), the next editions’ dates have now been revealed: Yarn Expo Autumn will take place at the same venue from 25 – 27 August, and Yarn Expo Shenzhen will be held at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center from 3 – 5 November. Attracting leading fibre and yarn suppliers as well as quality buyers with the fairs’ wide range of products, the three editions of Yarn Expo will cater to the recovering industry by offering a year-round meeting place for the sector to come together to recharge their businesses.

Debut Yarn Expo Shenzhen concludes as Messe Frankfurt resumes its textile fairs

Physical trade fairs returned to the textile industry’s calendar last week, as Messe Frankfurt successfully hosted the debut edition of Yarn Expo Shenzhen. Alongside Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, the two fairs were the company’s first in-person events since February. In total, 125 exhibitors participated in Yarn Expo, while there were over 42,000 visits recorded at the four concurrent fairs, which also included Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, CHIC and PH Value. The fairs were held at the brand-new Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, with Yarn Expo covering 10,000 sqm.

First Yarn Expo Shenzhen set to welcome 125 exhibitors this Wednesday

A total of 125 exhibitors will participate in the debut Yarn Expo Shenzhen this Wednesday, from 15 – 17 July, in hall 10 of the brand new Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. While this new edition of Yarn Expo provides the yarn and fibre industry with the ideal gateway to capture the potential of the strong apparel market in South China and Southeast Asia, it will also be an important boost to help the industry recover and reconnect from the COVID-19 pandemic disruption.

Yarn Expo launches Shenzhen edition, targeting South China’s apparel industry

In addition to its biannual Shanghai fairs, Yarn Expo will launch a new Shenzhen edition in 2020. Yarn Expo will join Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics (formerly Intertextile Pavilion Shenzhen) from 15 – 17 July 2020. The fairs will be held in a new venue, the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Centre. With CHIC and PH Value also taking place onsite, Yarn Expo Shenzhen will represent the first stop for the entire apparel supply chain. Nearly 150 exhibitors are expected to join the fair.
